PERFUMERIA ESPAÑOLA CORP. (PEC) is a joint venture company between the Chemical Industries of the Philippines, Inc. (CIP) and the PERFUMERIA GAL, S.A. of Spain, a leading manufacturer of personal care products in Spain as well as one of the leaders in perfumery brands - that had celebrated its 100 years with its world-famous brand - HENO DE PRAVIA.

PEC sells in the Philippines a full range of personal care products that are exclusively being distributed by JDH Zuellig Inchcape, Inc. Foremost among these is the Heno de Pravia line, which for several decades now has been enjoying the status of a prestigious product in the Philippines. PEC relies on two main quality sub-manufacturers.

In 1999, PEC successfully captured a niche in the baby product market when it has launched its line of baby health care products "FOR MY BABY." (This line is known in Spain as "Para Mi Bebe'.)

In 2000, PEC developed - with the R&D laboratory support of GAL in Spain - another equally successful new line of products. PEC launched this year-the Heno de Pravia Whitener Soap and the Heno de Pravia Whitening cream. These new products cater to the Asian and possibly the African market. Thus, PEC hopes to enter the export market through this product line, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia.
